Lake Mohawk is the largest manmade lake in New Jersey, approximately 3 miles long, and 800 acres. The lake is private - only those who own property in Lake Mohawk have lake and country club rights. You'll see Lake Mohawk residents waterskiing, sailing, canoeing, or taking a leisurely ride in a power boat. Power boats are permitted with very strict guidelines as to length, type etc. It is suggested and highly recommended that anyone considering a boat purchase should check with the Lake Mohawk Country Club first. The lake is peaceful and quiet, jet-skis are not permitted. If you are not a boater, you can always take a nice stroll along the Boardwalk...the views are stunning all year round.
Lake Mohawk was established in the late 1920's, early 1930's as a resort type getaway - homes were strictly vacation homes used in the summer. Over the many years, the homes have been converted to year round (with heat!) and now finds most residents as year round, enjoying the many splendid benefits of the lake, and local restaurants, shops and services.
The Lake Mohawk Country Club is open for summer dining, beginning Memorial Day through Labor Day. Club members can enjoy a delightful lunch or dinner on the Boardwalk overlooking the lake. Reservations are highly recommended. The Lake Mohawk Country Club also sponsors many wonderful events throughout the year!
